Family photos with no kids.  So much easier.  I'd love to do sessions like this everyday.  This was my last photo shoot of 2012 and was a great way to end the year.  Thanks for the opportunity Sarah and Nate!

I was so happy when Ashley and Patrick decided to bring me out to San Francisco for their engagement shoot instead of doing it in Nebraska in the winter.  They are such a fun couple and the change of scenery was great.  I got a little nervous when I saw the forecast for thunderstorms all weekend with flash flood warnings, but this just shows if you have an awesome couple, and you have fun with it, it doesn't matter what the weather does.

And when it started raining even heavier we found a parking spot that just happened to be right in front of this little Italian restaurant called Mescolanza that Kevin and I went to about a year ago when we were in San Francisco.  What are the odds that we just happened to find a parking spot in front of one of the only restaurants I've ever been to in San Francisco??  We even had the same waitress as Kevin and I had a year ago.  I wish I could every engagement shoot with a glass of wine.

Project Extra Mile

Project Extra Mile is a statewide network of community partnerships in Nebraska working to prevent underage drinking.  I was so excited at the opportunity to shoot their 12th annual recognition dinner.  This year was extra special since it was Diane Riibe's last event as the 17 year executive director of the organization.  Some of my favorite moments were when Mayor Jim Suttle presented Diane a key to the city and Diane's daughters surprise speech to her mom.

Huge thanks to Cassie for getting me connected with this event!  This was also Cassie's last event before moving on to a new job at John Hopkins.  Huge thank you to both Diane and Cassie for all your hard work to improve our state and best of luck in all your future ventures!
